About Madikeri Fort:
Situated at the center of the Madikeri town, this fort was built by Maddu Raja in the 17th century. It was later reconstructed with granite when Tipu Sultan captured the fort and renamed it as Jaffarabad.
The uniqueness of this fort is that it is a conglomeration of a temple, an Anglican Church, a prison and a museum.
